Four artists around our country are influenced by the life, work and words of civil rights icon, John R. Lewis. Make a Way is a collection of work in cloth and paper, created in response to our country's voting rights crisis. Dye, paint, photo transfer, and stitch are all used to express our outrage, pathos, and commitment to “find a way” to preserve our Democracy as well as educate and promote community interaction and conversation.

My journey in textile art began as a child. Over the years, I have explored weaving, fiber sculpture, mixed media, sewn collage, art quilts, art cloth and surface design. Inspiration comes from my Romanian and Peruvian heritages, studies in art history and textiles, workshops with global artisans, and expressive art in my work as a therapist. It is my desire to connect with others through themes of culture, community, climate and justice.
